Following on from the recent news about the change in fortune of the Conservative Party in Great Britain, the Economist has an interesting article in this weeks Bagehot column.
The summary at the end of the article, and the catch-22 is
"The better they do under Mr Duncan Smith, the more they will wish for a different leader. And the less likely it is they will get one."
