With new advice from doctors that to maintain basic levels of fitness it is only necessary to walk around 1 mile per day (1.6km for our continental cousins) I thought I would dig around for some useful walking links.

You are quite right! I've been pretty busy, and I did want to start a couple of articles on this subject - not that I am actually trying to encourage suicide. I'll try and do one next week, you'll see the point pretty quickly! :-)
