A £5,000 reward for information has been offered after the body of a Muslim woman, who died in a north west London hospital, was found desecrated in the mortuary.Scotland Yard says they were called to the mortuary on 18 January after rashers of bacon were found placed on the body
I head about this just before I went away, and I'm sorry, this story just beggars belief.
One can understand that a lot of crimes are crimes of opportunity, unfortunately even those involving rape or murder.
However, bacon on a corpse, in a mortuary? This surely has to be premeditated. (What? You've never been in a hospital with 12 slices of denmarks finest streaky bacon in your jacket pocket?).
and that my friends, is the mark of a truly evil and disturbed mind.
Hmm, I wonder what London's finest detective, Sherlock Holmes, would have made of this? A most singular case indeed Watson, you should write about it some time, "The Riddle of the Rashers".

Can you imagine what it must have felt like for that family to see that, though? Utterly wretched bastard who pulled that one off.
Welcome back!
probably the same a*hole who decided to confront me on my way to work a couple of years ago, demanding why i had to wear asian clothes and why i wouldn't eat pork, with which he shoved a giant hunk of meat in my face. then his low-IQ accomplices come up with tandoori accent insults. bastards.
Ah yes, it's good to be back Pavel.. Feel Good! :)
Bushra - that is truly unbelievable, I honestly didn't think that kind of thing went on this country. Perhaps we're isolated from this sort of thing down in Cambridge. I cannot comprehend the mind of the sort of person that would do this :(
Douglas, although I live in The Netherlands, I come from North Manchester originally. I used to hear of things like this on occasion. This particular desecration of a body I find absolutely appalling. It really is quite astonishing to see proof of such evil stupidity still wandering around in a supposedly civilised country. I personally think that there is quite a lot of racism in the UK. I agree that you might not see so much in Cambridge - I go there fairly regularly and like the place a lot. Other places are more unfortunate.
Bushra - what a hideous experience. This kind of behaviour really is indicative of a sickness in the culture.
