Double Take

I don't tend to watch very much television these days, but this evening, as I rest my weary limbs, I stumbled across a programme on BBC 2 called "Double Take", which was remarkably watchable for 21st Century television.

It is, in the words of the BBC itself:

This satirical comedy series places lookalikes of the rich and famous into a succession of unexpected situations. The resulting footage is likely to surprise you. Warning: contains strong language.

Using grainy (simulating DV quality video?) and shaky (handheld) camera as a fly on the wall in the footage throughout the many sketches, it takes a biting and satirical look at recent incidents involving the rich and famous.

Scenes involving George Bush berating Colin Powell for calling him stupid, and the Queen having trouble answering a mobile phone were among the many, many gems.
