Boycott the French

Wow, people actually believe in boycotting french companies (and subsidiaries). There's no particular reason I have chosen to single out this article at infinitepink.com other than I have finally reached my threshold over this blathering nonsense.

Is the population of the USA really so closed minded? The greatest democracy in the world(flashbacks to Auntie Mabel, excuse me) and they try and put down anyone that doesn't agree with their mindset.

I have yet to see a rational argument as to why one should boycott these products other than the fact that the French Government dared disagree with you at the United Nations.

You may sit there smugly, happy in the knowledge that you're making a big ol' difference by spurning any of these french or french owned products and companies. Yet, please believe me, you're merely proving the point to the rest of the world that you are all pompous self-centered arrogant fools. You are also only hurting yourselves. Many of these products you are boycotting are manufactured, built or otherwise created in the USA itself. You are hurting your fellow citizens! Still it's the principle isn't it.

Got adsl? Chances are the hardware (either in your ADSL modem or in the DSLAM at the exchange) is made by Alcatel!

Oh finally, *anything* called champagne is made in France, just list Champagne on your boycott list, no need to list all the brands.

Chin Chin!

I'm okay with boycotting. It won't accomplish anything, but helps people think they're doing something worthwhile. It beats the hell out of urinating on license plates, like a guy up in North Dakota did recently to a Manitoba (Canada) car.

You've got a broken link to infinitepink.com - just a misspelling, I think.

still.. grr I thought I fixed that earlier. thanks.

Why do people think that it is worthwhile though? I quite simply don't understand the mentality that causes someone to do this.

Have people started taking "stupid pills"? The america of today seems very different to that which I knew when I lived there.

The whole damn thing is pretty infantile. Words work better than these meaningless boycotts. But still, it's better than pissing on license plates or defacing the (replica) Statue of Liberty.

Boycott the French and products made by its American Subsidiaries? Sure ,why not? They are no longer our allies, and its president,Jaques Chirac and his ministers have profited immensely from the UN's food-for-oil program. This in turn has helped to keep the then-ruthless tyrant Saddam Hussien and his devils tormenting the Iraqi people.(read UN food-for-oil at the Heritage Foundation.org).The French have a history of cowardice and coercion with the enemies of Freedom. They allowed the Nazis to walk trough their country and take it over without a fight, and socialism exists in that country to this day.The French HATE us,and i've heard stories of tourists visiting there, being rudely treated and ostracized for being American.Boycott the French forever!
